Building the UK’s greener digital bank, Tandem has increased its 1 year fixed saver rate to 5.12%, making it one of the leading rates available today.

A saver who deposits £1,000 with Tandem could see a balance after the 1 Year term of £1051.20.

Tandem has seen significant growth amongst savings customers, doubling its deposit base for the past two consecutive years. This has been fuelled by the bank’s focus on offering competitive rates and developing its proposition, including being named Savings Champion’s ‘Best App-Based Savings Provider’ and having a ‘Great’ rating on Trustpilot.

The growth in these deposits have helped fuel the bank’s ambition to provide banking for a greener future, supporting millions of pounds in green home improvement lending.

Tom Ellmers, Savings Director at Tandem Bank, said:I’m delighted we can continue to offer a leading proposition for hard working savers across the UK. It’s important savers are rewarded and I’m proud we can continue to lay such markers as we look to support banking for a greener future with customers’ savings supporting green lending and initiatives.”

Banking shouldn’t cost the earth. Tandem offers greener ways to save, borrow, spend and share. From low emission motor loans, to lending for greener home improvements, to EPC discount mortgages and green savings, its products make it easier for more people to choose a greener lifestyle – helping save money, whilst reducing carbon footprints.
